A Room with a view

I have a corner office with a view....a verdant patch of green, black and yellow butterflies, a sleepy quiet neighbourhood, and the noisy kid next door....

Am one of the many office-goers who've discovered the joy of telecommuting...Working from home is suprisingly productive, stress free, and it sure beats a commute in a smog filled street...

We've just moved back to Chennai to lead a simpler life and spend time with the folks...Working has suddenly become easier and more productive...

Its amazing how much work you can get done when you're not in office...!!!

Spotty and sweltering in Mumbai

Measles , isn't apparaently restricted to children...
Nor does it evade those who've had it before..

Natural immunity? hmmmm, doesn't exist!

Well here I am...enjoying an enforced break..

Have watched a dozen movies already, complained about
a:the weather
 b: staying at home
c: my husband's cooking
d: not bathing with soap

Noticed people ask you the oddest questions:  Is it serious ? (No, its just a fashionable sounding way to wish off a rash)

Have you lost weight (It's a respiratory infection for crying out loud!)

Can I get it too (Yes I shook your hand last Monday, what do you think!!)

Viva Le measle! Viva Le Quarantine

Have you ever really seen the stars at night?

Have you ever, really seen the stars? They look like freshly polished diamonds, and twinkle incessantly....almost as if they are saying things to you...

You wonder in amazement...how did I never notice them before?

Was I so busy with work?
Was I so busy with paying the bills?
Was I so busy buying groceries and ordering food?

Did any of it really matter?

I have read that looking at the stars makes you feel insignificant...like a small speck in a grand universe that doesn't have time for you, and to whom you are just an irritating detail...

It doesn't really....It makes you feel a part of a secret beauty pagent, that everyone else is too busy to notice..you feel privileged, and distinctly lucky...

So go out and do it...Find a nice forest like I did...in the middle of nowhere...on top of a hill, surrounded by a deciduous forest...and lose yourself in the beauty of a spectacular light show, with a million stars twinkling away, just for you...
